Multi-passionate and loving it!

They all tell us to focus—to pick one thing to do. Well, I did that. It didn’t bring me the happiness (or the money and security) that they said it would. So I crafted a new way—using astrology and my birth chart.

I’m multi-passionate because of a handful of placements in my chart. They all point back to Mercury. Do you relate? Perhaps you feel mercurial a lot of the time. Perhaps you have no idea how to craft a better life for yourself, though you feel the deep pull to figure out how. Perhaps you just need a little guidance?

The biggest lessons I’ve learned in the past 6 years of attempting to be an entrepreneur are:

Learn your values and craft a life around them
This world isn’t set up to embrace creatives, so we have to get creative to make a living
You get to choose what the structure of your life looks like
Some people are more sensitive to energy than others (raise your hand if you’re an empath/HSP too 🙌)
You can’t fit into somebody else’s costume (make your own!)

Healing From Burnout Through Astrology

After spending 4 years feeling misaligned while trying to build a passion project using the masculine marketing and sales techniques that are taught in the online business space, I gave up and turned inward.

I was seeking a softer, more feminine approach to the whole entrepreneur game—and my life! One that honors my feminine side and allows me to utilize the skills and gifts that I was ignoring while tackling entrepreneurship from a masculine lens.

I took a silent break from my passion project for a year and a half. I didn’t actively ideate or create anything new. I lost all of those abilities because I was burnt. the. fuck. out.

While in this fertile void, I gave myself permission to rest and create only what I wanted to create, which was fine handknit sweaters for myself and my family. While I knit, I listened to a lot of fiction, binged Outlander and dreamed.

Using Astrology to Track My Life

I had accidentally stumbled upon (yeah right, there are no accidents, it was a serendipitous moment in my becoming…) a Moon Goddess teaching how the lunar moods affect us and our lives and began really using the cycles in a way that I hadn’t before.

I was already tracking my energy in a daily habit tracker journal. But now I needed to create a space to document the moon, her effect on me and my life and more intuitive things like dreams, oracles and serendipitous events.

I created a moon journal and started paying attention to the moods of the moon, events and manifestations in my life and how it was all woven together to support and create my life. I made this journal for me and the way I think and organize my thoughts. But then I shared it with my biz bestie, Celia Cain. And she absolutely loved it.

She felt the sacred power of it as I gifted it to her in person in December of 2022. (It was actually the first time we had met in person after knowing each other online since 2018.) With her support and feedback, I was able to bring it to the world in a digital format, with a physical version for the masses coming soon.

This little tool helped me so much and I knew I had to share this with the world, but how?

Did I simply become a moon journal peddler and sell journals? That didn’t feel like the whole picture. I dug deeper. Little bits of information started to percolate from the cosmos. I dug into more astrology courses and eagerly consumed everything I could to understand more about myself and these cosmic cycles.

Finding my Way to Astrology

Remember that Moon Goddess I told you about? She became my mentor.

Bronwyn Simons sparked more curiosity with each astrology course I took and how I could create a more feminine way to be. She inspired me to start applying her astrological timing techniques and moon wisdom to my life, projects and business.

I started off with my knitting projects, because of course, that was easier to do. Now I’m using the wisdom of the stars and my own cosmic blueprint to bring this baby to the world through Astro Crafting. (Yes, I’m coining this term. It means: crafting a vibrant life using astrology.)

Other people’s blueprints

The problem with other people’s blueprints is just that—they are for other people. I’m reminded of a time in a previous chapter of my life when I was a high-kicking glamorous Las Vegas Showgirl. I was on the path to stardom and eagerly climbing that ladder.

I was offered an understudy spot for a role, last minute because one of the leads had called out, and I was to perform her number in her costume. The choreography was easy enough to make mine, but the costume was not fit for me.

If you’ve ever tried on clothing that disappointed you or made you question yourself, this is what that felt like—but onstage in front of an audience of 1300 people.

You can’t fit yourself into somebody else’s costume.

It’s inauthentic and uncomfortable. Using someone else’s blueprint to reach for the stars isn’t going to work for you. You’re meant to shine with your own magnetic brilliance. That is the magic of astrology and your natal birth chart. You can use the gifts within it to inform your strategies, decisions, and even the structures of your life!

Being of service is one of my core values. It’s in my chart. My whole career house of my chart is ruled by Virgo, and also houses my high priestess, Saturn.

This is where my mad organizing, creating and making skills come from.

I channel the high priestess energy of Virgo in everything I do. Virgo is the harvest goddess.

She is the one who organizes the harvest and delegates to others how to proceed.
She discerns what stays and what goes.
She takes a step back and views the bigger picture so that the highest good for all is taken into account.
She is the ultimate nurturer and mother in service to others with her special gifts.
