Today, the Sun that rules our identity and ego enters the sign that Venus has been retrograding through for the past few weeks.
Her station retrograde on October 3rd at 8º of Scorpio, initiated an underworld journey to investigate and uncover shadows that need healing this season.
Themes of self worth, protection, getting to the bottom of something in relationships, and the shadows you’ve been hiding from yourself are coming up for review.
Venus and the Sun at the Midpoint
In addition, the last Scorpio Venus-Sun conjunction is happening today as they embrace at the midpoint of her underworld journey.

The Last Scorpio Venus-Sun Conjunction
This is an important Venus-Sun conjunction, according to Arielle Guttman. It’s the last one in Scorpio that will occur in our lifetimes.
This means that the quality of energy that these conjunctions have been bringing over the last century (the first one happened in November of 1926,) will be changing. We will be going from a warrior Venus to a more harmonious and balanced Venus in her home sign of Libra.
We got a taste of this quality of energy just four years ago with the Venus-Sun cazimi in Libra on October 21, 2022. This cazimi was direct, so she wasn’t experiencing an underworld journey, which also plays a part in the quality of energy.
Venus will be more focused on harmonizing and balancing relations and self worth over what she has been experiencing for 100 years—deep shadow work, transformation, obsessiveness and protecting self.
Both Venus and the Sun are ruled by Mars right now, and both wearing their detective/healer costumes. This last conversation before Venus heads back into Libra brings your next level of healing and transformation in a big way.

You’ve also probably noticed that your mental processes, communications and travel have been a struggle for a couple of weeks now. Mercury will station retrograde tomorrow and retrace their steps backward through Scorpio for the next 20ish days.
Mercury’s got on their detective costume too, so expect some obsessiveness, sharp communications and defensiveness as Mercury helps you rethink and revise your communications and travel over the next few weeks.

We’ll have another big ‘revision’ moment near the end of the season with the Mars-Jupiter conjunction opposing the North Node. Expect that your current beliefs/goals and path to your future may begin to have a tug-of-war.
The North Node’s influence on your destiny will be pulling you away from some of your outdated beliefs. It will be a good time to review beliefs since you’ll have finished up your values review with Venus and your mental processes review with Mercury too!
