Notice: What the Sky Is Doing This Season
Welcome to Cancer season!
The skies will be very active this month as we enter the second half of the year. Six months ago, we were setting goals, intentions and making big plans. Now we are in the ‘full moon’ phase of the calendar year where manifestations are showing up from intentions set at the last solstice’s threshold.
The Solstice Threshold and the Cancer-Capricorn Axis
The solstice threshold we enter today is the other side of the axis of lineage and legacy.
Cancer season is directly opposite Capricorn season and the energy between both is very different. Yet they are both the same in the fact that focus is on security and achievement. They just view it and approach it in their own ways.
The Moon helps us feel, remember, and protect while ruling our home, family and roots. Saturn focuses on structure, boundaries and achievement for what’s visible on the outside. Both focus on legacy.
And both help us track time. The moon with her monthly cycles and Saturn with longer periods of intention setting and manifestation.
Midyear Reflection: Six Months Into the Year
As we enter this quality of time where the focus turns to home, nostalgia, nurturing self and others, you’re invited to reflect back on the intentions and goals you set 6 months ago.
Notice if anything has shifted in your desires or readiness to receive. The Full Moon in Capricorn on June 29th will show you.
A number of planetary alignments and shifts will assist you in this over the coming weeks while the Sun makes its way through the sign of Cancer.
Something to Muse: Do I still want those things I thought I wanted at the last solstice? What has shifted within me that makes me ready to receive the things I really want?
Align: How This Quality of Time Works
A few key planets will be shifting to new signs this month: Venus to Virgo, Mars to Gemini, and Jupiter to Leo. As well as a couple of stations retrograde: Mercury and Neptune.
Venus Moves Into Virgo (July 9)
Venus’ move to Virgo on 7/9 will help us shift from child-like play and creativity to the discerning eye needed to handle the relational issues that may come up.
Enjoy the rest of your play time in the coming weeks, as Venus will soon inspire us to become more efficient and business-like once she makes the move into Virgo.
Mars Enters Gemini With Uranus (June 26-27, Conjunction July 3)
Mars’ move into Gemini will be a more abrupt and uncomfortable feeling than the easy shifts that Venus is making. Mars is entering Gemini, co-present with Uranus.
Uranus, the higher octave of Mercury in a Mercury-ruled sign, is focused on innovating and disrupting communications, travel and networking over the next 7 years. Expect that AI will be amplified and other advances in technology will be revealed. And with Mars entering the scene, it will add fire and impulsivity to an already volatile quality of time.
This is something that will be felt as soon as June 26-27th, as Mars likes to strike early. Historically, this is a tense conversation, especially in U.S. history. Take care as you go about your summer plans and notice the disruptions and revelations this quality of time brings.
The last time Mars and Uranus were conjunct was July 14, 2024 and you can do a quick google search for the news that week to see that this can be an explosive time. The actual conjunction takes place on July 3rd. You will feel the buildup towards the breakthrough over the next couple of weeks.
Jupiter Ingresses Into Leo (June 29)
Jupiter’s last year in Cancer has inspired us to focus on home, self care, nurturing and family. On June 29th, the same day Mercury stations retrograde in Cancer, Jupiter moves into the fun, playful and creative house of Leo for the next year.
Jupiter’s work here will be helpful over the coming year as we will be inspired to think more creatively, balance work and pleasure with a heavier dose on play and fun, and amplify luxury and the finer things in life.
Get out and enjoy some live entertainment, connect and play with others and remember what it’s like to be young and free. Leo’s favorite game it ‘let’s pretend…’
Mercury Stations Retrograde in Cancer (June 29)
Mercury adds to the excitement this month as they retrograde in Cancer.
Stationing June 29th, the same day as the Capricorn Full Moon, is a quality of time that helps us rethink and revise communications, travel and even commercial topics in regard to home, roots and family.
Aligning with Mercury’s friskiness and remembering that they aren’t out to make your life miserable will help. Mercury simply wants you to pay better attention. The things that feel difficult or take more time than usual are the things that need revisions. Have fun with the antics and go with the flow!
Neptune Stations in Aries (July 7)
Neptune’s station in Aries on July 7th will bring either more confusion or utter clarity about the things that have been ambiguous in your Aries house. We will certainly see this on the world’s stage as whatever disruption occurs around the U.S. holiday begins to dissolve or cause disillusionment. Or both! Gotta love Neptune’s mysterious ways!
Something to Muse: How can I leverage the good feelings of Jupiter and Venus this month as the other planets make shifts that feel uncomfortable?
Craft: Jupiter in Leo and the Coming Year
Your crafted focus this month is to reflect on the last time Jupiter was in Leo and how you leveraged that creative energy so you can channel it towards more imagination, expressiveness and fun over the coming year.
Jupiter in Leo: June 29, 2026 – July 25, 2027
Jupiter has a 12 year cycle, so the inspiration and amplification you’re feeling in your Leo house is repeating, but with more wisdom than the last time.

Jupiter amplifies whatever it touches so expect that your desire to self-express, have fun, be creative and simply ignore #adulting will be more prominent than ever in your life for the coming year.
